WORD+GAME
WAME

One word with two words hiding inside it. Four to crack, every day.

Today's Puzzle — on your own

Four blends from one theme, ordered easiest to hardest — Warm-up, Steady, Tricky, Brutal — each with its own colour. Fill in the two words that made each one; the number in each box is how many letters. Guess as often as you like, nothing is capped. Stuck on a row, tap ? for a clue about that one; tap again and it hands you a word outright.

The Warm-up row shows its clue for free — it is there to get you moving, and it costs you nothing. Typos and stray plurals are forgiven. If you want more than one a day, Practice deals endless puzzles that leave your streaks alone.

Every tier keeps its own streak, and only a clean solve — no clue, no reveal — keeps one alive. So the Warm-up streak is yours to lose, and a long Brutal streak is the thing worth bragging about.

The category is doing a lot of work here. Rop is nothing on its own; Rop under Travel, four letters plus four, is Rest Stop.

Party Game — one reads, everyone guesses

The reader holds the phone facing themselves. Nobody else sees the screen — that's the whole trick. They say the gold word out loud and nothing else: no other clues, no gestures. Everyone else shouts the two words it was made from.

The reader sees the answer

Under the gold word, the card quietly shows what it's made of — so the reader knows a correct shout when they hear one, and knows how the blend is meant to sound. Get it, tap Got it. Stuck, tap Pass. Keep going until the timer runs out.

The category is your friend

Every card shows its category. "Grat" is impossible. "Grat, colored animals" is Gray Cat.

Hints cost points

Some blends chew up most of the word — Box Fan really does become "Ban." So the reader can hand out hints instead of everyone dying on one card.

Tap Give a hint and the card hands the reader a line to read out — a clue first, then the whole first word. Each one costs the team a point.

Three ways to play the party game

Guess the Blend is the easy one — 579 written cards across 20 categories — pick your themes and go. The blend is already made; the room just has to take it apart.

Make the Blend is the hard one, and the funniest. The app deals a red word and a green word and you have to fuse them on the spot. If nothing comes, tap Stuck? Show me one and the card suggests a few. It never runs out of cards.

Your Crew — type in everyone at the party and the app blends their names into couple-names. The room guesses who's who.

Scoring, optional

Split into teams and keep score, or run Just for Fun and pass the phone around the room. The game is the same either way.

Wame

Four mash-ups, easiest first. Each is the front of a word stuck to the back of another. The Warm-up clue is free.
